With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ethel S. Soesbe (Clinton, Iowa), who passed away on October 16, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde J. Saffer and Irma F. Saffer (Schwarz); and her husband Robert J. "Bob" Soesbe, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Patricia A. Nichols (David A.) of Clinton, David J. Soesbe of Clinton, Thomas M. Soesbe of Clinton, Kathryn A. Musch (Marvin) of Clinton, Steven P. Soesbe of Clinton, Mary C. Soesbe of Clinton, Philip C. Soesbe of Baton Rouge, LA, Robert J. Soesbe Jr. of Port St and James A. Soesbe (Carmen) of Fulton, IL. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Per Ethel's wishes her body was donated for medical education and research to The University of Iowa, College of Medicine. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clinton Humane Society, the Clinton County Historical Society or to the family for a memorial in her name.
