He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlin Johnson and Vickie Johnson (Mangler); and his brother Merlin, Jr.. He is survived by: his significant other Sheila Starry of Marion, Iowa; his siblings, Steven Johnson of Camanche, Linda Smith (Dale) of DeWitt, Todd Johnson of Camanche and Elliot Johnson of Syndey, Australia; and his stepfather Carlye Evers of Low Moor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
