It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dwight E. Wheelan of Clinton, Iowa, who passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dwight E. Wheelan to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wheelan and Margaret Wheelan (Shumard); and his spouse Shirley Angel. He is survived by: his children, James Wheelan (Chris) of Cedar Falls, IA and Jill McDonald (Tim) of Clinton, IA; his grandchildren, Brad Wheelan (Kate), Brett Wheelan (Cheri), Brooks Wheelan, Amy Jacobus (Joe) and Erin Hogan (Mark); his sister Patty Sue Gruber of Highland, IL; and his sisters-in-law, Ruth Kivett of Danville, IL and Wanda Angel of Columbia, MO. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Dwight's memory to Autism Speaks.
