He was predeceased by: his parents, John McDermott and Janet McDermott (Bronakant); and his wife Patricia Meighan. He is survived by: his children, Christine Wierema (Denny) of Clinton, David Liles (Darlene) of Preston, Michelle King (Willie) of Clinton, Patricia Boisen (Shawn) of Clinton, Shannon Nielsen (Robert) of Clinton and Kelly McDermott (Joe Tischer) of Clinton; and his brother James McDermott (Josie). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
