She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Jackson and Eleanor Jackson (Schmidt); and her brother Kent. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Tiesman of Clinton; her children, Mark Tiesman (Cara Larson) of DeForest, Wisconsin and Erin Schroeder (Andrew) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and her grandchildren, Aiden and Natalie. She is also survived by her family with endless memories of being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Holden Cancer Center at the University of Iowa or the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
