Clara Oberman Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clara Oberman in Clinton, Iowa, who passed away on April 10, 2023 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Clara Oberman to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Caraway and Carrie Caraway (Ostert); her husband Leo Oberman; her parents-in-law, Edwin, Freida and Selma Oberman; her daughter Beth Louise; and her siblings-in-law, Joyce Oberman, Nancy Caraway, Rose Caraway, Jack Schimberg, Bob Langhurst, Ray Oberman and George Donnelly.

She is survived by: her children, Roger Oberman (Sue) of South Carolina, Russell Oberman (Valerie) of Davenport and Carla Vawter (Matt) of Cedar Rapids; her granddaughters, JoyAnn, Kayla, Clare, Christina and Hailey; her stepgrandson Andrew Zirbes of Texas; her siblings, Donald Caraway, Jim Caraway, Jack Caraway of California, Shirley Langhurst of Cedar Rapids, Judy Braswell (Ken) of Louisiana, Anna Mae Schmoekel (Larry) of Indiana and Mona Knadle (Mike) of South Dakota; and her sister-in-law Dorothy Donnelly of Oregon. She is also survived by several cousins; nieces; nephews and friends.

She volunteered for several years, the only female in the RSVP Tax Preparation location.
