He is survived by: his sons, Mustafa Taylor (Khadija) of Indianapolis and Johnnie B. Taylor of Indianapolis; his grandson Johnnie D. Taylor; his great grandchild Jaevyon Taylor; his siblings, Floyd Taylor (Beverly) and Lillie Roebuck; and his friend Paul Yates (Christle) of Clinton, Iowa.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
