He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles S. Leavens and Norma Leavens (Holcomb); his wife Helen Sikkema; his daughter Lorna; and his son-in-law Adam.
He is survived by: his daughters, Charlotte Daehler (Dave) of Thomson, IL, Karen Herrig of Camanche, IA and Janice Benshoof (Herb) of Nineveh, IN; his grandchildren, Lynne Simeon (Garth), Janine Zantingh (Jordan), Beth Knutsen (Ian), Krista Deur (Brian), Kari Dyjak (Eric), Allison Benshoof and Ryan Benshoof (Natalie); his great grandchildren, Myleigh, Madelyn, Charlie, Avary, Austin, Norah, Atticus and Ronin; and his sisters-in-law, Phyllis Sikkema and Patsy Titus. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Memorials may be given to Mercy Hospice.
