She was predeceased by: her father James Carter, Sr.; and her brother James Carter, Jr. (Charles McFadden). She is survived by: her mother Drewsie Carter, Sr. (Gilmore) of Indiana; her children, Belinda Carter-Williams of Clinton, Raquel Carter (Tremaine Davis) of Moline and Angelique Carter of Clinton; her stepdaughter Latoyia Brown of Madison, Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Brandon, Kimberly, Stephan, Ivan, Iyanna, LeTandrea, Dorian, Shaletta, Marilyn, Melanie, Marrakesh and Nikkia; her great grandchildren, Isis, Iris, Ava and Indigo; and her siblings, Annie Harper of Davenport, Geanetta Thomas of Davenport, Ernest Carter of Indiana, Tommy Carter of Indiana and Jimmie Carter of Indiana. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
