She was predeceased by: her parents, Valentine Hagar and Arlene Hagar (Schollmeyer); and her daughter Laura. She is survived by: her husband James Schmerse of Clinton; her daughter Rebecca Dye (Mark) of Independence, MO; her grandchildren, Samantha Hayton (Zachary), Allison Keis of Waverly, Nicholas Keis of Clinton and Zachary Dye of Independence, MO; and her siblings, Mary Knorr (Don), Thomas Hagar (Sharel) and James Hagar (Penny). She is also survived by three aunts, one uncle with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
