She was predeceased by: her parents, John Strating and Anna Strating (Pessman); her daughter Adele Nissen; her sisters, Beverly Voss, Ilene Snyder and Irma Decker; and her brothers-in-law, Berkley Fetterolf and Dayle Snyder.
She is survived by: her husband Delbert Vernon Nissen of Clinton, IA; her children, Kenneth Nissen (Sue) of Camanche, IA, Annette Callahan of Denver, CO and Penny Geronzin (Dwayne) of Clinton, IA; her sisters, Barbara Fetterolf of Illinois and Evelyn Hanson (Dale) of Illinois; and her brothers-in-law, Gene Voss of Illinois and Neil Decker of Illinois. She is also survived by six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
