Betty A Calcote Obituary

She is survived by: her daughter Judy; her parents, William Dudansky and Leora Dudansky; and her spouse Gerald Calcote.
She and her family have resided in Iowa for many years living in Clinton where they owned and operated the "Boot Wagon Shoe's Store until their divorce in 1974.She and the 4 children then moved to Iowa City where she worked at the University of Iowa Hospital as a Housekeeper in the Childrens Dept until her retirement in July of 1992. Betty loved intermixing with the children and to this day still received many Christmas Cards from family's that came to know and love her over the years. Betty enjoyed life to its fullest, her family, friends including longtime companion John Buckingham. She and John loved dancing and going to many places in the area just to "check it out" Going to the casino's was also a great past time. Her family includes her children, Robin Gonzalez (Tony), Judy Terry (Dan Hoover), Mark Calcote (Janice) and Scott Calcote (Cindy); grandchildren, Kimberly Calcote, Jake Calcote, Marie Netser, Ashley Humpleby, Zachary Ellis, Scott Gaade (Ami), and Corey Gaade (Theresa); Betty's siblings, Florence Wald, Leora Graski, and Geraldine Dudansky. She was preceded in death by her parents and companion John Buckingham. Please make donation to the Children's Miricle Network at the University of Iowa Hospital in her name.
