He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred E. Doty and Laura Doty (Harp); and his siblings, Fred Weideman, Jr., George Weideman, Wilbur Grover, Edward Weideman and Nellie Doty.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Cavanaugh (Brent) of Clinton and Jennifer McClary (Mike) of Fulton; his grandchildren, Taylor Diesch (Sean), Cole McClary and Andrew McClary; his great grandchild Maisy; his stepgreat-grandson Carsyn; and his sisters, Alberta Pauline Webb of Morrison and Georgia Schaver (Allan) of Morrison. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pape Funeral Home (2308 Pershing Blvd, Clinton, IA 52732). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
