She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Dawson and Margaret Dawson (Kvasnicka); her son Walter Everetts Jr.; and her siblings, Robert, Edward Ward, Frances Franklin, Carol Hopcroft and Eleanor Bernal.
She is survived by: her husband Frank Powers; and her children, Gene Brown (Diane) of Hartley, Iowa, Bonnie Everetts (Rodney Bell) of Spencer, Iowa and Frankie Everetts of Cleghorn, Iowa. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren.
