He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward V. Austin and Bernice Austin (Thompson); and his sister-in-law Betty Gosslien (Andy). He is survived by: his wife Laura Austin of Clear Lake; his children, Robert Austin (Mary) of Des Moines and Lori Anderson of Hutchinson, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Kristopher, Emma and Ella; and his sisters, Maxine Johnson and Marlene Gleghorn. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
