He was predeceased by: his parents, Greek and Fotini Hasapopoulos (Giannoupoulos); and his siblings, George, Pete, Ted and Theodora.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Larson; his children, Kathryn Snyder (Dale) of Clear Lake and Costa Hasapopoulos (Tami) of Woodbury, MN; his grandchildren, Alexis Snyder, Andrea Gabrielson (Dan), Chelsy Anderson (Erick), Tiana Culler (Chris), Niko Hasapopoulos and Jake Hasapopoulos; his great grandchildren, Hudson, Finn, Laken, Preston, Kenedie, Bradan, Quinn, Evan, James, Levi, William, Kathryn, Claire, Evie and Audrey; and his sister Bessie Schisel of Garner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family suggests memorial contributions to MercyOne North Iowa Hospice or the Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Mason City.
