He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Theodore and Elma Clarissa Monson (Helgeland); his former wife Grace Rosetta Harms; his daughter Brenda; his daughters-in-law, Karen and Vanessa; his siblings, Stanford, Curtis and Geraldine; and his brother-in-law Jerry Steiert.
He is survived by: his friend Mary Ellen DeBell (Timm); his wife Mary Ellen; his children, Kevin Monson (Michele), David Monson, Julie Monson, Robert Monson (Caroline), Derek DeBell (Alexandra) and Hannah Then (Trevor); his grandchildren, Seth (Whitney), Tyler (Abagail), Aliah (Marcus), Isaiah, Katie (Connor), Alec, Joey, Brenna, Leif, Victoria (Garrett), Linkin, Grace, Deondrea (Cody) and Dawson (Lynnzee); his great grandchildren, Emersyn, Kase, Lennyn, Amiyah, Cormac, Kylarae, Maylan, Carson and Brielle; his sister Kathy Steiert; and his pet Starr. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
