He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. William and Ellen Swanson; and his brother-in-law Fernando Salinas. He is survived by: his former wife Dorene Machan; his children, Chelsea Swanson of Cedar Rapids and Philip Swanson; his siblings, Mary Ellen Salinas of Texas and Richard Swanson (Diane) of Marion, Iowa; his nephews, Matt Swanson, Luke Swanson and Casey Swanson of Iowa; and his niece Katie Simon of Texas. He is also survived by spouses and children.
