It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Leo Broghammer D. D. S. of Clear Lake, Iowa, who passed away on September 10, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin George and Mary "Lucille" Broghammer (Murphy); his siblings, Mary Lou Hanson (Roger), Neil and Mark Broghammer; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Broghammer.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Broghammer of Clear Lake; his children, Robert Broghammer (Tracey) of Castle Rock, CO, Jennifer Broghammer of Davenport, Anne Boileau (Matt) of Iowa City and Catherine Keech (Robert) of Le Claire, IA; his grandchildren, Jordan Broghammer (Alyx), Ava (Caden Broghammer), Cassie Thompson (Grant), Callie Glidden (Corey Askildson), Ethan, Faith (Dawson Boileau) and Will (Lucy Keech); his brothers, Benjamin Broghammer and Frank Broghammer (Paula); and his sister-in-law Kathy Broghammer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks are required at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Robert's family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, St. Patrick's Catholic Church or St. Croix Hospice, 302 N. Grand Ave. Ste. 5; Charles City, IA 50616.

“Sharing in your loss. Very few people can claim a lasting friendship that spanned seventy wonderful years; but Bob and I can. We shared many memorable times together beginning in grade school. Then there was scouting, high school, summer jobs, military service experiences, weddings (my best man) and forty years of summer and winter fishing trips to bring us back together after settling so far apart.
