He was predeceased by: his parents, Olga Hewitt (Nelson) and Charles Hewitt; his wife Amy Hewitt (Arneson); and his great grandchild Jonathan Schmitt. He is survived by: his children, Julie Stauffacher (Scott), Carrie Nichols (Paul) and Mark Hewitt (Daina); and his grandchildren, Ben Schmitt (Amy), Andy Schmitt (Emily), Emily Stauffacher, Amy Stauffacher, Charlie Nichols (Amanda), Billy Nichols (Samantha Lynn), Rachel Maletta (Nick), Libby McCarthy (Coleman) and Lauren Hewitt. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
