She was predeceased by: her parents, Halfdan and Ruth; and her former husband Donnie. She is survived by: her daughters, Elsie Patrick (Tim), Shirley Kaduce and Mary Smit (Dave); her grandsons, Chris Kaduce, Derek Smit (Selena) and Ryan Smit (Whitnee); her great grandchildren, Drake Kaduce and River Smit; and her brother-in-law Russell Smith (Bobbie).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Galilean Lutheran Church or MercyOne Hospice in honor of Rakel.
