She was predeceased by: her parents, John Haaf and Irma Haaf (Knoll); her husband Joe; her son Thomas Kern; and her sisters, Bonnie Lee and Juanita Straka.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Kern, John Kern, Dave Kern (Diana), Andy Kern (Aimee), Lois Kern and Molly Kern (Reynolds); her daughter-in-law Valerie Kern; her grandchildren, Kyle Kern (Amy), Jada Kern, Claudia Kern, Owen Kern and Carson Kern; and her siblings, Wanda "Duff" Worley (Bob), Phillip "Sonny" Haaf and Mark Haaf. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, extended relatives and many friends.
