He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Knutson and Mattie Knutson (Anderson); his spouse Harriet "Hap" Sawyer; his children, Timothy Donn and Shelley Knutson; and his daughter-in-law Bonnie Knutson.
He is survived by: his sons, Matt Knutson of Clear Lake and Todd Knutson (Kristi) of Ventura; his grandchildren, Mindy DeVries (Levi) of North Liberty, IA, Megan Birkhofer (Justin) of Clear Lake, Colton Knutson of Lincoln, NE, Carlie Knutson of Cedar Falls, IA and Isaac Knutson of Ventura; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Will, Ayla and Maya. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
