It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merri A Matteson of Clear Lake, Iowa, born in Mason City, Iowa, who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Edgar and Bonnie Edgar (Alitz); and her husband John Matteson. She is survived by: her children, Juli Hill (Jon) and Joel Matteson (Erin); her granddaughter Hendley of Keller, TX; and her siblings, Curtis Edgar (Helga) of Lexington, SC, Karen Eppens of Mason City, IA, Bev Rasmuson (Tom), Pat Edgar of Mason City, IA and Jay Edgar (Carolyn). She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to MeryOne North Iowa Hospice, the American Cancer Society or the Bethel United Methodist Church in Manly.
