He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward R. Uken and Marlene E. Uken (DeBoer); and his wife Lori Work. He is survived by: his brother Gary Uken (Linda) of Titonka; his niece Andrea Smit (Josh) of Lake Crystal, MN; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brenden and Lauren; his niece Allison Buns (Casey) of North Mankato, MN; and his aunts, Judy Junkermeier (Lamont) of Titonka and Sharon Uken of Titonka. He is also survived by many cousins, other relatives, and friends.
