She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida Bird Whelan (Patro) and Harold Bird; her husband Kenneth Knutson; her stepfather Loren Whelan; her siblings-in-law, Andrew and Fanny Knutson; her grandparents, Fred and Emma Patro; and her brother Ronald Whelan.
She is survived by: her children, Allan, Janae Haygood, Rick, Katie (Austin Minnihan) and Terri Tell (Stuart); her grandchildren, Derreck, Jarrod (Lindsey) and Jilann; her daughter Marna Mathews (Jon); her granddaughters, Chelsea Schaefer (Ben) and Emily Mongan (Skylar); her son Al Knutson (Doris); her great grandchildren, Brooklynn, Charlotte, Lynnlee, Gunner, Emrynn, Ellias and Ellie; and her brothers, Bill Whelan (Jean) and Bob Whelan (Mavis). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many cousins.
