She was predeceased by: her parents, William Velau and Lydia Velau (Herwald); her husband Donald Alden; her siblings, William Velau and Eva Fatland; and her son-in-law Micky Kreitlow.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gloria Kreitlow of Meservey and Barb Ouverson (Daryl) of Thornton; her grandchildren, William Kreitlow of Meservey and Tonya Kreitlow of Mason City; her great grandchildren, Tarynn Thompson and Corah Carter; and her sister-in-law Janet Velau of Garner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
