She was predeceased by: her parents, Ewald Alpert and Caroline Alpert (Brandt); her husband Jim Carew; and her sister Marilyn Alpert. She is survived by: her sons, Mike, Paul (Kelly) of Ankeny, Steve (Kristi) of Garner and Michael (Patrice) of Clear Lake; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Erin, Audrey, Calvin, Caroline, Olivia and Patrick; and her siblings, Donald Alpert (Cindy) of Richardton, ND, Kay Janke of Steel, ND, Pat Shea (Joe) of Hazelton, ND, David Alpert of Richardton, ND and Cindy Alpert of Bismarck, ND. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
