He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Davis and Marie Davis (Wilson); his former wife Merry West of Des Moines; his wife Sandra Davis; his children, Michael W. Davis, Brad W. Davis (Ruth Ann), James W. Davis (Amy), Martha Davis Alexander (Gregory), Pleasant Hill and Mark L. Davis (Michele); his grandchildren, Ivan Davis (Brooke), Heather Davis, Justin Davis, Jack Davis, Hunter Davis, Leah Davis, Kristofer Alexander, Parker Davis, Armando Alexander, Mikayla Alexander and Madalyn Davis; his great grandchildren, Gavin, Maya and Alexandra Davis; and his parents-in-law, Margherita, Alan Atwell and James West.

Family suggests memorial contributions to Galilean Lutheran Church.
