He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Dietrich and Anna Dietrich (Wemken); his great grandchild Connor Glen Alexander; his siblings, Edna Dahl (Phillip), Leonard Dietrich (Evelyn), Mildred Lee (Raymond) and Wayne Dietrich (Clarice); his son-in-law Butch Ficken; and his brothers-in-law, Lowell and Virgil Sanquist.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Schoepf; his daughters, Delores "Dee" Thompson (Daniel) of Clear Lake, IA, Pamela Killmer (Ronald) of Bondurant, IA and Joyce Ficken (Rich Mack) of Nevada, IA; his grandchildren, Annette Lee (David) of Des Moines, Jennifer Headlee (Neal) of Baxter, IA, Michael Killmer (Jessica) of Chicago, Jodie Holzmer (Mark) of Nevada, Stacey Larson (Luke) of Nevada and Kelli Alexander (Jon); and his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Lilyan Headlee, Kelsee Holzmer, Levi, Wyatt, Hunter, Zachary, Jace Larson and Everly Alexander. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
