Gladys Schoneman Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Schoneman of Clear Lake, Iowa, born in Lake Mills, Iowa, who passed away on August 7, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sever Stensrud and Gunhild Stensrud (Haugen); her husband Roger Schoneman; her sons-in-law, Roger Yeager and Gary Romel Sr.; her parents-in-law, Henry "Hank" and Matilda Schoneman; her grandchildren, Jennifer Romel and Matthew Yeager; her sister-in-law Geraldine Polsdofer; and her siblings, Oscar, Kent, Alfred, Kenneth, Ellert, Blanche, Vicky, Anne, Josie, Thelma and Alice.

She is survived by: her siblings-in-law, Roger and Manny; her children, Nancy Kerr (Yeager) of Greenville, TX, Dianne Romel of Logan, UT, Mark Schoneman (Ofelia) of Houston, TX and Paul Schoneman (Marilyn) of Garner, IA; her grandchildren, Greg Yeager (Jeff), Jeff Yeager (Yvonne), Kara Kirkley (Tim), Justin Schoneman (Filiz), Travis Schoneman (Momo), Mariel Schoneman, Gary Romel II, Kimberly Sorensen (Robert), Yvette Bachman (Martin), Raquel Schoneman and Theodore Schoneman; her brother-in-law James Polsdofer; her niece Janet Alger (Bill); and her great grandchildren, Maddox, Rylynn, Conner, Zack, Max, Maxwell, Evren, Eyvind, Sarah, Ashley, Kate, Elizabeth and Beckett. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
