Meints (Steenblock); her husband Pete; her son Kyle McLaughlin; her brother Ivan Meints; her daughter-in-law Michelle McLaughlin; her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Hobbiebrunken (Alvin), Laverne McLaughlin and Loren McLaughlin (Margaret); and her nephews, Daryle Hobbiebrunken and Joe McLaughlin.

She is survived by : her children, Debra Copas (Greg), Kevin McLaughlin and Kelly McLaughlin (Lori); her daughter-in-law Peggy Sona (McLaughlin); her grandchildren, Angie Tieben (Tony), Allison Grochow (Grant), Joe Copas, Kelsey Jones (Nathan), Molly Rowenhorst (Travis), Missy Haberman (Josh), Nikki Krambeer (Chris), Kyra Bingaman (Ben), Kory McLaughlin (Chloe) and McKenzie McLaughlin; her sister Carolyn Wood; and her sisters-in-law, Dolores McLaughlin and Patty Meints. She is also survived by 21 Great-Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel (310 1st Ave N, Clear Lake, IA 50428). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Clear Lake Open Bible Church (509 S 17th St, Clear Lake, IA 50428).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Open Bible Church, Clear Lake, in Ethel's memory.
