He was predeceased by: his parents, Orrie Jaspersen and Ingebrog Jaspersen (Strandskov); his siblings, Lloyd Jaspersen (Alma), Alfa Nickerson (Walter), Ervin Jaspersen (Velma), Leo Jaspersen, Verna Smeby (Royden), Arlo Jaspersen, Harvey Jaspersen and Vernon Japsersen; his grandson Joseph Kenney; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Jaspersen and Clayton Gilbertson.
He is survived by: his wife Sharlene Martin Hauptmann of Clear Lake; his children, Meredith Hauptmann (Marge) of Onley, MD, Damon Hauptmann (Laureen) of Cedar Rapids, Margaret Kenney of Garner, Sidney Hauptmann (Mary) of Algona, Garrett Hauptmann of Thompson, Marie Bedford (Don) of Clear Lake and Eldon Hauptmann (Jennifer) of Garner; his siblings, Herluf Jaspersen and Esther Gilbertson; and his sisters-in-law, Marlys Jaspersen and June Jaspersen. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
