He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Etchen and Louise Etchen (Greiman); his wife Elwilda "El" Etchen; and his siblings, Eloise Kuhlers (Elmer), Winton Etchen (Dorothy), Darlene Fink (Marvin) and Merle Etchen (LaVonne).
He is survived by: his daughter Teri Larson (Mark) of Ames, IA; his brothers, Elwyn Etchen (Donna "Aunie") and Delbert Etchen; his nieces and nephews, Debbie Etchen (Mark Nelson), Laurie Etchen, Linda Hendel, Benjamin, Rachel Hendel, Vincent Etchen (Thida), Anthony, Vinchenzo Etchen, Cynthia Etchen, Mark Etchen (Becky), Kyla Rodgers (David), Michelle Wrighte (Tim Laudry), Bryan Etchen (Anastasiia), Mike Kuhlers (Grace), Connie Thompson (Bill), Robert Etchen and David Etchen; his close friends, Tom and Georgia Ashland; and also Amber.
