She was predeceased by: her mother Ellen Steege (Villadsen); her husband Floyd Nielsen; her daughter Nancy Whaley; her siblings, Keith Steege (Bonnie) and Joann Hokel (Harold); and her siblings-in-law, Anna Thielen, Esther Foster, Elsie Armfield and Lloyd Nielsen.
She is survived by: her son Craig Nielsen; her grandsons, Ryan Whaley (Kathryn) and Dane Whaley (Sara); her great grandchildren, Alexandra, Norah, Ava and Carter; and her son-in-law Mark Whaley (Bev). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake or MercyOne North Iowa Hospice Unit, Mason City.
