He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Floy and Tena DeVries Vance (Meester); his grandparents, Cyrus Seymour and Bessie Jane Vance; his grandson Brian Ellerman; and his brothers, Kenneth, Francis, Marion, Lyle (Nancy), Jerry and Nathan (Betty).
He is survived by: his wife Florence Myra Yost; his children, Russell Vance (Sandy), Jane Thorn (Steve), Dawn Hicks (Greg) and Dan Forry (Bonnie); his grandchildren, Jennifer Ellerman, Ed Vance (Jen), Laura Featherston (Josh), Dave Vance (Brooke), Jason Tudor, Kim Wisell (Zach) and Ryan Hicks (Anna); his great grandchildren, Jenalyn Funte (Chase Erickson), Alanna Ellerman (Samson Clark), Bodhi Ellerman, Aubrey Vance, Macy Vance, Wesley Featherston, Daniel Featherston, Nora Vance, Wade Vance, Jack Vance, Jackson Wisell, Isaac Wisell, Cobie Merklebach and Rosalyn Hicks; his great great grandchildren, Aiden James Hinders and Oliver Lee Erickson; his brother Thomas Vance; and his half-sister Sally.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 5:00 PM at 102 E Greene St, Clarksville, IA 50619.
