He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mechem and Jessie Mechem (Archerd); his daughters, Sarah and Megan; and his siblings, Leslie Mechem and Florence Noelck.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Rachael Hetzel, Laurie, Lisa Regan, Bess Broich, Kaylyn Gangestad, Mark Mechem, Greg Mechem and John Mechem; and his sister Eleanor Griffin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.
