It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley H. Swieter in Clarion, Iowa, born in Coulter, Iowa, who passed away on April 27, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Thielen and Gladys Thielen (Rodemeyer); and her siblings, LaVerne Thielen, Dick Thielen, Bill Thielen, Curly Thielen, Gayhart Thielen, Marge Thielen, Betty Gausman and Sandy Kracht.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Swieter of Hampton, IA; her sister Irene Shear (Dick) of Batesville, AR; her children, Doug Swieter (Jean) of Mason City, IA, Joel Swieter (Chris) of Gold Canyon, AZ and Brenda Heilskov (Todd); and her grandchildren, Chrystal Neubauer, Erin Neubauer, Stephanie Swieter, Stacey Frazer (Michael), Keegan Swieter (Amber), Hannah Driscoll, Madison Heilskov (Joe Petersen) and Morgan Degner. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church Food Pantry or First Lutheran Church Sewing Group in Clarion.
