With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fern (Meyer) Spellmeyer of Clarion, Iowa, who passed away on December 14, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Meyer and Margaret Meyer (Wagner) of Belmond; and her siblings, Alfred Meyer, Gary Meyer and Beverly Hulsing.
She is survived by: her husband Mark Spellmeyer of Clarion; her daughter Meghan Dow (Kent) of Manchester, Missouri; her grandchildren, Brady Dow and Kennedy Dow; her siblings, Marge Pearson (Stan), Vernon Meyer (Caroline), Roger Meyer (Linda) and Richard Meyer (Loree); and her siblings-in-law, Michael Spellmeyer (Diane), Kevin Spellmeyer and Debra Spellmeyer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
During the pandemic, she kept herself busy designing and sewing quilts.
