He was predeceased by: his parents, Jens Christensen and Edna Christensen (Oleson); and his siblings, Merlyn, Lloyd, Volney, Helen, Alice and Myrna.

He is survived by: his wife June Christensen of Clarion; his daughters, Volnetta Passehl (Jerry), Melia Thomas (Jim) and Stacie Christensen; his grandchildren, Kate, Emily, Nick, Cody, Sierra and Junior; and his sister Eleanor Tonderum. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
