He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Hughes and Eva Hughes (Shephard); his son Michael; his grandson Josh Farmer; his great grandchild Malaki Mildward; his sisters, Doris Knowles and Marjorie Wright; and his brothers-in-law, Dale Fesenmeyer (Etta), Gene Fesenmeyer and Harry Rubin.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Fesenmeyer; his daughters, Vicki Larson (Steve) and Gail Braymen (Brian); his grandchildren, Adam Almquist, Luke Larson, Asa Larson and Jeremiah Hicks; and his sister Evelyn McKay.
