With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merlin Ray Hicks (Clarinda, Iowa), born in Wichita Falls, Texas, who passed away on February 6, 2022 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Blaine and Mary Maxine Hicks (Williams); his brother David Hicks; and his grandson Malaki Mildward. He is survived by: his son Jeremiah Joseph (Amber) of College Springs, IA; his wife Susan Hicks of Clarinda, IA; his son Jacob Hicks; his grandchildren, Emma Mae, Blaine, Logan and Isabelle; his great grandchild Jace; and his siblings, Ellen Poland (Doug) of Winterset, Iowa, Charlie Hicks (Lora) of Clarinda, Iowa and Cheryl Fletcher (Michael) of Winterset, Iowa. He is also survived by nieces; nephews, other relatives and many friends.
