He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald McKinnon and Leah McKinnon (Duncan); and his siblings, Max, Lee, Donnie, Bob, Lynn, Leona and Diana.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Sump; his children, Damion McKinnon (Nicole), Greg McKinnon, Danette, Mark McKinnon, Michelle, Kim Miller (Dave) and Michele McKinnon-Johnson (Scott); and his sister Marilyn Wells. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
