She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Amos Weldon Swanson and Blanche Rose Swanson (Miller); her husband Donald McComb; her siblings, Paul Swanson and Angela Swanson; her aunt Mildred Swanson; and her grandson Seann Aaron McComb.

She is survived by: her children, Scott McComb (Lou Ann) of Clarinda, Tim McComb (Mary) of Bouton and Kelly Brown (Kevin) of Grimes, Iowa; her grandchildren, Justin McComb of Stratford, Emily Wolfe (Tyler) and Hope Brown; her stepgranddaughter Kayla Nyman (John) of New Windsor, Illinois; and her great grandchild Kennett McComb of Boone, Iowa. She is also survived by nieces; nephews and many friends.
