He is survived by: his parents, Loren John Pierce and Frances L'Agace Pierce (Mattox); his brothers, Clair Pierce and Robert Pierce; his son-in-law Michael Bartlett; his spouse Joann Pierce of Clarinda; his children, Loren Pierce (Joanne) of Shenandoah, Iowa, Linda Pierce of Tucson and Karen Bleier (Ben) of Kansas City, Kansas; his grandchildren, Anne Pierce (Heath Bartles), Sarah Selken (David) and Sonja Bleier; his great grandchildren, Adrian, Evann, Charlotte Bartles, Liam and Owen Selken; his siblings, Tirzah Marklund of Kent, Elizabeth Richards (Don) of St. Charles, Missouri and Dale Pierce (Cindy) of Callender, Iowa; and his sisters-in-law, Edna Pierce of Alberta and Gail Pierce (Porter) of Prescott, Arizona.
