It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen C. Schilling of Clarinda, Iowa, who passed away on December 5, 2022, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Chapman and Lillian Chapman (Henn); her husband Dean L. Schilling; her son William "Kim" Schilling; her siblings, W. Francis Chapman and Phyllis; and her brothers-in-law, Melvin Lauman, Ward Schilling (Mary Carmel), Ed Schilling (Gertrude), Harold Schilling and Charles Davis.
She is survived by: her daughter Pennie Slater (John) of Shenandoah, IA; her sisters-in-law, Leora Davis and Linda Schilling of Jefferson, IA; her close friend Joan Vest of Shenandoah, IA; and also Henn. She is also survived by grandchildren; three step grandchildren; three great step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Helen's name are being directed to the Iowa Department For The Blind.
