He is survived by: his former husband John Veach; his wife Jo Ann Whipp of Clarinda, Iowa; his children, Lori Veach (John) of Clarinda, Iowa and Bryan Whipp (Simat) of Clarinda, Iowa; his granddaughters, Nancy McKinnon (Tim) of Clarinda, Calla Whipp (Tony D'Antuono) of Des Moines and Ajia Whipp (Adrianna Garber) of Burlington Junction, Missouri; his great grandchildren, Noah, Tyler and Emma McKinnon; and his brother-in-law Oliver Kenagy of Brawley, California. He is also survived by nieces; nephews and many friends.
