She was predeceased by: her parents, John Peterman and Sylvia Peterman (Evans); her husband Fred Carpenter; her siblings, Freda Boeck, Paul Peterman and Donald Peterman; and her nephew Eddie Peterman.

She is survived by: her children, Debra Carpenter of Clarinda and Larry Carpenter (Jana) of Clarinda, Iowa; her grandchildren, Adrian Archer (Donna) of St. Charles, Ryan Cahill (Andrea) of Dardenne Prairie, Judd Carpenter (Aga) of Overland Park and Shea Carpenter of Osage Beach, Missouri; and her great grandchildren, Natalie, Derek, Megan, Kylie, Keagan, Knox, Roman and Gwen. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
