It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deloris Elaine Beery of Clarinda, Iowa, who passed away on October 1, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Calhoon and Catherin Calhoon (Murren); her grandparents, Eddie Berkey, Nellie Calhoon (Hamm), Oliver and Anna Maria Dorothea "Dora" Murren (Schroeder); her sister Louise Flatley (Dennis); and her brothers-in-law, Walker "Bill" Scott, Leland Shell, Gary Dennis and Leland "Butch" Beery.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Beery of Shambaugh; her children, Deborah Leu (David) of Farragut, IA, Dalles Beery (Donetta) of Country Club, MO and Julia Ploeger (Randy) of Clarinda, IA; her grandchildren, Tyler Beery, Whitney Beery, Tamika of Washington, Bry Reine, Ashley Ploeger and Brandi Ploeger; her great grandchildren, Jaxton, Bre'el, Takyan, Tristin, Autumn and Kees; her siblings, Wanda Scott of Red Oak, IA, Alma Shell of Johnston, IA, Phyllis Davison (Gary) of Braddyville, IA, Sharon Dennis of Nokomis, FL, David Calhoon (Della) of Clarinda, Steven Calhoon (Wanda) of Greeley, CO and Joan Card (Jim) of Smithville, MO; and her sisters-in-law, Judith Lovitt (Dick) of Stanton, IA and Diana Beery of Villisca, IA. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
