She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence and Ruth (Overmire); her husbands, Albert Smith and Richard Groth (Melvin); her children, Martha Durst and Albert Smith; and her siblings, Dorothy Smith, Mari Ellen Eivens, Lowell, Carroll, George, Gene and Lavern.
She is survived by: her children, Fern Kuehler of Des Moines, IA, Alberta Gacke (Donald) of Spencer, IA, Bonnie Parr (Steve) of Hiawatha, IA, Rick Groth (Anna) of Spencer, IA and Barbara Groth of Des Moines, IA. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
A burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 6:00 AM at the North Lawn Memorial Park (2208 Hwy Blvd, Spencer, IA 51301). Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Warner Funeral Home- Everly (210 S Ocheyedan St, Everly, IA 51338). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
